Our services have been retained to recruit a REGION MANAGER, RELIABILITY CENTERED MAINTENANCE for a major Midwest food manufacturer. Corporate role based in medium size community (roughly 75,000 population) approximately 2 hours from several major cities and offering moderate cost-of-living, good schools, many outdoor recreational options and a superior quality of life.

This is newly created role and reports to the Director, RCM and will support seven manufacturing locations. Plant Maintenance Managers have dual reporting responsibility…to their respective Plant Managers and to this role (Region Mgr., RCM). Minimal travel required. The main responsibilities of this position are to: • Deploy the equipment reliability strategy and ensure it is integrated and part of Performance Excellence • Ensure the NDE capital and expense budgets are aligned with the strategic direction • Leads development of asset management strategy that aligns with business needs • Works closely with plant maintenance team to optimize plant resources to find new ways to drive further efficiencies • Ensure a deep understanding of current standard methodologies (reliability elements) in the reliability and maintenance industry and deploy those agreed standards to the region • Define and drive reliability metrics and KPI’s in support of operational goals while improving safety, quality, delivery and cost • Provide direction and technical support to the plant Maintenance Departments • Identify continuous improvement projects and develop business cases in collaboration with plant maintenance teams • Effective usage of maintenance planning, scheduling and execution processes using chosen computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) • Leads team of Centralize Reliability Group to support locations in the areas of reliability engineering, maintenance engineering, predictive maintenance, and asset management/CMMS Requirements: • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (will consider other educational backgrounds) with 15+ years of experience • Functioned successfully in capacity where totally focused on implementing a company’s RCM strategy…taking plants from reactive to proactive. • Experience in food, petrochemical, pharmaceutical or related type environments • Electrical or mechanical experience in a manufacturing maintenance and engineering environment. • Experience leading a maintenance department • Proficient in predictive and preventive maintenance • Deep knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) process and culture in a manufacturing environment • Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis, Cause and Effect or FMEA methodologies • Proven ability to lead multifunctional teams – must be strong leader and influencer • Excellent English written and oral communication skills (Including the ability to present information to a formal group) • Familiarity with food safety and process safety management • Ability to make decisions based on data
