|Our services have been retained to recruit two first line leadership roles: SECOND SHIFT SUPERVISOR and a THIRD SHIFT SUPERVISOR for growing, privately held Midwest major food manufacturer. PositionS located in 750,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art production facility in Northern Indiana/Ohio region (community of roughly 8,000 within a hour of several communities of 250,000+). Region offers moderate COL, good schools, robust economy and many outdoor recreational activities. These are immediate needs! State-of-the-art production facility employing 500+ hourly, union personnel. Duties and responsibilities include:
• Assuring effective supervision of manufacturing processes, managing line efficiencies and providing leadership to shift personnel. • Assure safety, quality and customer satisfaction standards are achieved. • Directs the activities of the shift specific maintenance employees with the ability to lead, coach and develop hourly production employees. • Interact with maintenance management to ensure production and maintenance work as a team. • Maintains safe and healthy work environment following standard procedures and regulations. • Assist in training employees to ensure safe operating procedures are followed. • This position will be a rotating position in various departments and shifts in order to train and observe the entire process and provide backup coverage when necessary.
Successful candidates will demonstrate the following: • Possess 2+ years of manufacturing supervision experience and machine troubleshooting. Manufacturing knowledge and understanding of plant efficiencies and processing procedures. • Ability to coach, motivate and develop skill sets of employees in a world class food manufacturing environment. • High awareness and strong commitment to plant safety, food safety and quality standards. • Must possess a high level of technical proficiency to assist operators in problem solving while exercising considerable judgment.
Prefer 4-year college degree but experience will be considered in lieu of formal education. Promotability, stability and leadership qualities are of very high importance. Prior union experience preferred but not required. Food industry experience is strongly preferred. This is immediate need!
Salary in the $70,000 base range with 15% bonus potential, competitive benefits and relocation assistance.
