| Our services have been retained to recruit a MAINTENANCE MANAGER for a growing, seasonal, multi-plant, privately held West Coast food processor. Immediate need! Facility located in the North Central Valley of CA – town of 40,000 less than an hour from the Monterey Peninsula. Our client values tenure, hard work and loyalty and is a lean, hands-on organization that has consistently grown over the past decade. Position reports to the Plant Manager and is an integral part of the plant leadership team and coordinates and manages all mechanical and electrical work with plant management, supervisors, and support staff, including specification of mechanical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical routing, and vacuum systems. Develops, implements and manages preventative and predictive maintenance programs and inventory tracking systems and procedures. Full, year-round position but operation is seasonal…July to August. Predominantly #10 cans, 100’s of sku’s, 630 different labels, union facility. QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Thorough knowledge of food processing and packaging equipment, ammonia refrigeration systems, conveyor systems, and freezing systems. Strong knowledge of mechanical designs and application in an industrial manufacturing environment. Demonstrated knowledge of Preventative and Predictive Maintenance Management Systems. Good knowledge of predictive maintenance for with pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and refrigeration systems. Knowledge of GMPs, FDA guidelines, purchasing practices and process validation. Knowledge of CMMS Systems for preventative and predictive maintenance, inventory tracking, scheduling, and parts utilization. Working knowledge of code requirements, including fire protection, security, grounds, internal structural plans, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree preferred but will accept experience in lieu of degree. Must have at least 8+ years maintenance leadership experience, with minimum 3+ years in food processing (canning bkgd. helpful). Union experience helpful and experience supervising a large group of employees preferred. Salary in the $110-125,000 base range (no bonus) along with competitive benefits package and relocation assistance (seeking West Coast candidates).
