Drives research and development or implementation of projects and capital equipment installations having a significant impact on the business. Demonstrates mastery in one or more platforms of the business. Influences and advises management within function. Leads teams, workgroups, and initiatives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Sells new concepts to Senior Management on appropriate projects that significantly enhance existing capabilities, and prepares capital expenditure requests for approval. Participates in department and interdepartmental planning and management teams and works cross-functionally to improve processes within the organization. Analyzes data to determine feasibility of product proposal. Reviews project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project. Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget. Conducts research and analytical studies to develop design or specifications for products, equipment or processes.
