Job Title: MAINTENANCE MANAGER

Our services have been retained to recruit a MAINTENANCE MANAGER for a 150 person, nonunion food ingredients manufacturing location (approximately 30 minutes East of Atlanta) for an emerging, rapidly growing, very profitable national food processor.

Position reports to Plant Manager and supervises Maintenance Supervisor, Hourly Maintenance Technicians & various outside contractors.

Seek person with strength in lean manufacturing/six sigma.

Primary Function: Responsible for the daily operations and management of the maintenance department in a 7 day a week/24 hour a day food manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities: ? Manages maintenance personnel and maintenance operations to ensure timely customer receipt of product within the standards of quality, safety, procedures, budget, policies, sanitation, and Federal and State laws. ? Develops and implements methods to improve productivity within established payroll and expense budgets. ? Coordinates daily activities with contractors working on site. ? Responsible for daily management of expense and capital projects. ? Responsible for design and implementation of plant facility and equipment improvements in a method that follows accepted sanitary design standards. ? Responsible for tracking and management of plant repair and maintenance, supply, building and waste water budgets. ? Manages waste water treatment operations. ? Responsible for plant adherence to all federal, state and local environmental policies and communications with government enforcement agencies. ? Manages plant utility budgets – natural gas, electric and water ? Manages plant utilities insuring they are maintained in a manner to provide utilities acceptable for use in a food production facility. ? Maintains thorough knowledge of all maintenance processes and equipment. ? Assures proper crewing of certified personnel. ? Supports associates through team development. ? Uses team-building techniques in problem solving. ? Assures that established policy, procedures, and work rules are understood and followed. ? Trains and develops shift associates. ? Coordinates daily scheduling. ? Assures accurate and timely completion of all paperwork. ? All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: ? Has a minimum of 5 years maintenance supervisory experience. ? Has 5 years’ experience in preventative maintenance and repair. ? Has experience and/or knowledge of SPC and or HACCP. (Preferred) ? Is able to read lengthy and sometimes technical information. Able to communicate clearly and completely in written form. Must be able to perform required math calculations. ? Has experience with boilers, ammonia refrigeration, industrial food processing equipment and Electrical/PLC ? Computes math required in this position timely and accurately. ? Class III Waste Water Operators License preferred.

Management Skills ? Has demonstrated success in accomplishment of work through others. Prefer experience in training. ? Is able to develop and work within a budget. ? Has experience in a manufacturing environment. (Food Industry preferred) ? Has proven success in promoting and maintaining safety programs / systems. ? Is experienced working with GMP's. ? Has an ability to adapt to changing situations and is willing to change areas of responsibility and shifts as required. ? Is supportive of Company objectives, policies, and procedures. Promotes and assures understanding and acceptance of these policy and procedures.
