| Our services have been retained to recruit a THIRD SHIFT SUPERINTENDENT for growing, privately held Midwest major food manufacturer. Position located in 750,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art production facility in Northern Indiana/Ohio region (community of roughly 8,000 within a hour of several communities of 250,000+). Region offers moderate COL, good schools, robust economy and many outdoor recreational activities. Position open due to promotion. Reports to Operations Manager in 500 person, union facility and is responsible for assuring effective management of the third shift manufacturing operations. Directs, oversees and coordinates activities of manufacturing and maintenance employees individually and through Production Supervisors to achieve manufacturing of quality food products. Sets goals, establishes priorities, manages resources and resolves process issues. Maintains quality, safety and regulatory compliance relating to the manufacturing operation. Will direct shift of 4 salaried and 100 hourly employees. Prefer 4-year college degree but experience will be considered in lieu of formal education. Promotability, stability and leadership qualities are of very high importance. Prior union experience preferred but not required. Food industry experience is strongly preferred. This is immediate need! Salary in the $85-95,000 base range with 20% bonus potential, competitive benefits and relocation assistance.
